ART® is internationally winning awards tool that provides accurate calculations for the thermal resistances of enclosed airspaces for different applications. ATRC® Airspace is innovative computational tool for accurate determination of thermal resistance in enclosed reflective airspaces for a wide range of building applications, based on standardized North American testing conditions. Both tools were built using an advanced numerical model that was extensively validated against laboratory and field data along with advanced artificial intelligent technology.

Technology
3D Model: it is a numerical model that solves
- Continuity and momentum equations
- Energy equation
- Surface-to-surface radiation equations
The model was extensively validated by comparing its predictions against:
- Guarded-hot-box test data in accordance with ASTM C-1363 for (a) full-scale furred-wall assemblies with different types of reflective insulations, and (b) full-scale double-glazing curtain wall
- Guarded-hot-box and heat flow meter test data in accordance with ASTM C-518 for a number of test samples with different types of reflective insulations.
Artificial Intelligence (AI):
Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) were used to develop the Airspace Reflective Tool, ART. These ANNs were trained using all data obtained from numerical model for different operating conditions, dimensions, inclination angles, effective emittance and directions of heat flow. Number of data points that was used in the NNs training is about 1 Million.
